Self-Evaluation
Leading A Small Group Meeting: I have lead a small group discussion and feel that the experience was successful. I am aware of what to do in preparing for and leading a small group meeting. I feel comfortable leading a small group discussion.
Small Group Dynamics: I have observed and participated in a good small group discussion. I know how to establish a good small group atmosphere where everyone participates. I have successfully handled people who were causing disruptions or problems in a small group.
Sharing Leadership In A Small Group: I have been part of a leadership team of a small group. I am well aware of the various roles and responsibilities that must be managed for a small group to succeed. I feel very comfortable sharing the various roles and responsibilities of leading a small group.
A Care List: I have created a list of friends, family, neighbors and co-workers in whom I have taken a personal and spiritual interest. I feel confident in knowing how to build a list of prospects to invite to a small group. I feel comfortable making a list of people for whom I will pray and seek to serve.
Ministry By Phone: I have used the phone to care for others by expressing care and offering encouragement. I feel comfortable with the idea of praying with others on the phone. I am confident that I could make a ministry phone call that was well received.
Effective Listening I have developed effective listening skills. I am comfortable listening to others when they are sharing important personal concerns. I am confident that I know the basic principles of effective listening.
Prayer Ministry I have developed the habit of regularly praying for the specific needs of others. I am comfortable praying with people personally for their specific needs. I know the basic principles of intercessory prayer.
Providing Care: I have often taken a personal spiritual interest in the lives of those around me. I feel comfortable responding to the practical needs of others. I know how to encourage and build people up spiritually.
Hospital Visitation: I am confident in what I should say and do when visiting the sick and hospitalized. I have visited someone who was hospitalized and feel good about that experience. I am comfortable visiting friends, family and acquaintances when they are hospitalized.
Love In Action: I have often gone out of my way to help my unchurched friends and neighbors. I am comfortable in serving others through acts of love and deeds of kindness. I am confident in knowing how to help those in need.
Introducing People to Jesus Christ: I have taken the initiative to meet with someone to introduce them to Jesus Christ. I feel comfortable telling someone how I became a Christian. I am confident that I could introduce someone to Jesus Christ if they expressed the desire to know Him as their personal savior.
Helping New Christians Grow: I have discipled a new Christian and helped them become established in their faith. I am confident that I know how to help a new Christian grow. I would welcome the opportunity to meet with a new Christian to help them learn the basics of following Jesus Christ.
