Empowering Overseas Pastors to Fulfill the Great Commission

T-Net International (Training Tetwork of Disciplemaking Churches) in partnership with TOPIC (Training of Pastors International Coalition) and BTPC (Basic Training Centre for Pastors) is a catalyst, fulfilling the Great Commission by addressing two strategic, yet complimentary needs:

• Revitalizing and empowering overseas churches for evangelism and discipleship
• Facilitating US churches’ need for hands-on world mission impact

The Bad News Large portions of the world population live in areas off limits to US missionaries. The Good News Millions of churches have been planted all over the world bordering on these closed countries.  Third World Missionaries move easily into countries like China, Vietnam and Muslim dominated areas. These missionaries blend into the culture, adapt to the language far more easily and require much less financial support than their American counterparts. The Strategic Opportunity We are already seeing a movement of Third World missionaries going to closed areas.  But many, many more are needed.

What We in the West Can Do Empower local churches to finish the Great Commission in their countries and reach out to their neighbors.  Our strategic target is the 2-3 million pastors overseas with no formal training.   T-Net International’s Objectives:

• Healthy Churches – Train pastors to be able to raise up mature Christians and then train other pastors the same skills.
• Stable Churches – Develop self perpetuating Micro Economy module helping people plan and develop their own businesses.
• Sending Churches – Develop self perpetuating Support  Raising module for indigenous missionaries.

How Is The Training Accomplished? US churches reaping incredible first hand missions exposure by sponsoring and training groups of pastors three times a year for two years. Overseas churches are equipped to make fully devoted Christ followers and reach their country for Christ. Strong overseas churches send highly effective missionaries at a fraction of the cost of Western missionaries.

            BTCP COURSES (2 Years – usually taught by BTCP)

• Strategic – Pastors with no formal training equipped to lead people to Christian maturity and fruitfulness.
• Effective – Rapid Great Commission results in evangelism, stewardship and disciplemaking.
• Efficient – Low-cost delivery, mobilizing and maximizing existing structures to achieve the Great Commission.
• Self Propagating – Overseas pastors fully equipped to train other pastors, independently, after the first generation.  The following chart reflects the resulting multiplication of training centers taught by certified nationals even if only five pastors from each training center go on to lead one of their own:

How Well Does T-Net Overseas Training Work?

In Zambia (after only 8 months of training) Results: The 29 pastors reported: 680  Converts Assimilated into their Churches 464  Members trained How to Study the Bible 492  Members started Disciplemaking Groups  10   New Centers Planned

In India (after 2 years of training) Results: 222 pastors reported:  3928  Converts Assimilated into their Churches  2650  New Converts Baptized  1307  Disciplemaking Groups Started on 3 Levels        276   New Churches Planted

In the Philippines (after only 8 months of training) Results: The 56 pastors reported:  578  Converts Assimilated into their Churches  492  Members trained How to Study the Bible  728  Members started Disciplemaking Groups   16   New Centers Planned

How to Get Started              

T-Net International trains and coaches US Pastors and church leaders in strategies and principles that helps transform their congregations through an Intentional Discipleship Process involving eight training sessions over 28 months.  Churches are able to begin training overseas after completing the first six-eight months of this process.  T-Net’s goal is to empower Pastors and church leaders to multiply disciplemaking churches both here and internationally.
