Self-Evaluation
Assurance of Salvation I am confident that my sins are forgiven and that I will spend eternity with God in heaven. I have demonstrated that I trust in Jesus Christ for salvation by telling family and friends what Christ has done for me and by being baptized. My assurance of salvation is based on faith in the promises of God's Word not my feelings.
Victory Over Sin and Temptation I can distinguish between temptation and sin. I know how to be restored in relationship to God when I have fallen and sinned.
Prayer I feel confident that I know how to talk to God in prayer. I know that God hears me when I pray. My prayer is more than just asking God to meet my needs and answer my requests.
The Bible - God's Word I believe that the Bible is God's written Word, faithfully preserved for the benefit of all mankind. I know how to study the Bible for myself and apply God's truths to my daily life.
Sharing Your Faith I can easily tell someone how I became a Christian. I can share with a person what he/she needs to know and do to become a Christian.
Fellowship I understand the importance of close friendships with other Christians. I regularly participate in both Worship Celebration Services and a small group. I can identify two or three close Christian friends that support me and hold me accountable.
The Attributes of God I can identify many of God's attributes; those qualities that describe who He is and what He is like. I understand that I am created in the image of God.
The Person of Jesus I have a clear understanding of Whom Jesus is regarding both His humanity and His deity. I know the key elements of the life of Jesus on earth and I understand how His life, death and resurrection relate to the salvation of mankind.
The Holy Spirit I understand whom the Holy Spirit is and how He ministers in the life of a believer. I know that I have been filled with the Holy Spirit and that my life is controlled, directed and empowered by Him.
Stewardship I understand that God has entrusted me with resources that I must use according to His will and for His glory. I have a plan for how I manage my life, my time, and my money to the glory of God. I have an idea of how God would like to use my life in service to Him.
Obedience I greatly desire to be obedient to God. I am striving to obey everything that God has revealed for me to do.
Spiritual Gifts I have a clear understanding of what spiritual gifts are and why God gives them. I know that all Christians have spiritual gifts and I have identified some of mine. I have a passion and desire to serve Christ in a specific area of ministry.
