E-Coaching: "This is where most people get stuck, they freeze, get overwhelmed, confused, even angry. Yes, I am asking you to describe your 'Intended Future' as if it had already happened! I am not asking you to presume that you can predict the future, give God orders or jump into a time-machine that will let you see what will happen in your future. God is involved and sovereign over our lives and we gladly submit to His will and purposes. This exercise is one that should be done prayerfully, humbly and with a willingness to let God 'edit' the document as He chooses over the coming years. With that being said, even if a little vague, you have dreams, hopes and wishes for how life will be in 15, 25 or 40 years and this is a power exercise that will help you capture and evaluate your current life vision (or lack of one). It is easier to do than you think. Just write one short paragraph for each of the Seven Areas of Life Management. To help you get started, begin by reading the four different vision statements on the completed e-form sample below (Note: Some have found it easier to complete the 5-10 year vision statements in Action Plan for Life worksheets in Part 3 before finalizing their Vision Statement).
Action Step: "Complete the '2.3 Vision Statement' then attach the document to an email and send it to your coach (or accountability partner) so you can talk through it by phone or face-to-face."
